With both of us being cerebral, our story began on eHarmony, where we both decided to let science help us find love. Each of us invested in long-term subscriptions, trusting the process, and as fate would have it, we found each other within 72 hours of signing up!

Our first date was a once-in-a-lifetime evening. We completely lost track of time and ended up closing down the restaurant (having to reschedule our other activities for the evening). The staff must have seen the spark between us, as they literally cleaned the entire restaurant around us while we kept talking. For Pat, it only took about twenty minutes after getting lost in Kristina’s smile and eyes to realize he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

As a couple, we are true homebodies at heart. We would much rather spend a night in our pajamas bingeing sci-fi movies and documentaries than hitting the town. So, it was only fitting that our proposal matched that exact aesthetic. On a seemingly normal night at home, Kristina walked back inside from taking out the recycling to find Pat waiting on one knee. Her immediate, concerned response was, "Are you OK?"

When Pat finally asked the question, a shocked Kristina replied with, "What?" After Pat repeated the proposal, she finally answered, "Of course, I love you.”
